Over a year ago, I commented on the use of the word “honestly”. Over the last few weeks, I have even heard the Morning Show team from inspirational radio station, KLOVE use the word honestly. It seems to be once per day. I know that the meaning of a word can change over time, but…………….. The office environment is not any better. It seems that I hear the use of the word at least once in every conversation. In fact, it is so prevelant, that I often find myself wondering whether the whole meeting was nothing but lies with an occasional honest comment thrown in to confuse us.

Ok, I maybe exagerating a bit here. I know that often, the word honestly could be substituted with words like IMO for example. That being said, I just can’t get my mind past it. I have to fight the urge to stop the insanity. My mind keeps drifting back to the question: Where they lying to me before or after they said “honestly”? This is one that I am not sure I can get past.
